Welcome

Hello. I'm Donnalyn Jaque-Antón, Associate Superintendent, Division of Special Education, Los Angeles Unified School District. Welcome to Schools For All Children, an informational training series for parents of students with disabilities.

This training series consists of six, one-hour programs:

  • Parent Rights and Parent Leadership
  • Parent Participation in the Individualized Education Program
  • Supporting Your Child at Home and at School
  • Positive Behavior Supports
  • Determining the Least Restrictive Environment, and,
  • Supporting Children in their Least Restrictive Environment

This training series provides parents with information regarding educational issues that impact their child's access to the curriculum and academic achievement. Parents are encouraged to view each program and then talk with their child's educational team to answer questions specific to their child.

Parents, teachers, and other members of the educational team, work together as partners to provide children with disabilities a free and appropriate public education. This partnership is vital to ensuring that there are schools for all children in the Los Angeles Unified School District.
