Purpose: The Los Angeles Unified School District’s Discipline Foundation Policy is based on the eight key features of School-Wide Positive Behavior Support. The Rubric of Implementation is used to evaluate the implementation of this policy. The online training will provide:
- An overview of the entire Rubric of Implementation
- Information about and examples of each key feature in the Rubric
- Examples of scoring procedures
Although this on line training has been developed for Directors, it could be useful for any staff to use if asked to measure the implementation of the Discipline Foundation Policy at a particular school site. Analyzing the results of the Rubric will help guide the improvement of problem behavior prevention, the use of corrective procedures and, ultimately, reduce suspension and improve student achievement.

The Discipline Foundation Policy: School Wide Positive Behavior Support website contains a variety of materials available for implementing the multi-tiered behavioral system to support student achievement.
